Queens Gambit Named Pittsburgh Pirates Nonprofit of the Game for the Third Consecutive Year
We are proud to announce that Queens Gambit has been selected as the Nonprofit of the Game for the Pittsburgh Pirates for the third year in a row! This incredible event will take place on September 2nd at 6:40 PM, as the Pirates take on the Los Angeles Dodgers at PNC Park.
This ongoing partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates is a powerful testament to the impact of Queens Gambit's work in the community. As part of the Nonprofit of the Game program, a portion of ticket proceeds will directly support our mission to empower youth through chess education, leadership development, and community engagement.
Since its founding by Ashley Lynn Priore, Queens Gambit has been dedicated to making chess accessible to youth from all backgrounds, using the game as a tool to build critical thinking skills, resilience, and leadership capacity. Being recognized for a third consecutive year by the Pirates allows us to further amplify the message that chess is so much more than a game — it’s a pathway to opportunity, confidence, and success.
"We are honored and excited to be named Nonprofit of the Game once again," said Ashley Lynn Priore, Founder and CEO of Queens Gambit. "This ongoing collaboration with the Pittsburgh Pirates shows the power of community partnerships and how together, we can create real change through the game of chess."
